Our programming group cut their teeth in the robust C++ environment of the 80s. Electronic engineering skills led to computer networking, point of sale, and VoIP telephony expertise, which broadened naturally into Java and PHP applications for the web in the 90s. Currently, our team's web programming tool of choice for online database and content management projects is a rapid development framework called CakePHP.
Our chief programmer also has extensive experience with custom programming desktop applications in MS Access and Excel, Peachtree Accounting and ACT! contact management software. One major project included the development of an instrument for the large chip manufacturer in Hillsboro, Oregon to use to process and render complex specifications for exact duplication of construction projects worldwide. The electronic tool he devised digitally completed in less than five minutes a data synthesizing process that had taken skilled engineers more than five hours to calculate manually.
Fortunately for our customers, our shy but kindly programmers are teamed up with some people-oriented web design and training experts. We the "front end" people may have no idea what the "back end" developers are talking about, but we can see from the results that they really know their stuff and the customers are happy, so we're happy!
Our customer advocates learned user-friendliness through formal training in instructional systems, media design, and applied communications. They stand as a dynamic bridge between the needs of the clientele and the technical and economic realities of computerized productivity programs.
